Yale Professor Laurie Santos’s class

The Science of Well Being

The Science of Well Being is adapted from the Yale College course Psychology and the Good Life, the most popular class in the history of Yale (taken by more than one-quarter of Yale undergraduates in the first year it was offered). The Science of Well Being focuses on things people think will make them happy but don’t and things that bring people lasting satisfaction. It is taught by Laurie Santos, PhD, who is a Professor of Psychology and Head of Silliman College at Yale University. Dr. Santos hosts the popular podcast, The Happiness Lab. Additionally, she is the director of the Comparative Cognition Laboratory and the Canine Cognition Center at Yale. She received her A.B. in Psychology and Biology from Harvard University in 1997 and her Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard in 2003.

The ten-week "Science of Well Being" class is available for free at www.coursera.org. YaleWomen Connecticut invites you to join us by signing up and taking the class. Each week of the course generally takes one to two hours to complete. Please plan to complete the first six weeks of the course in time for a Zoom discussion.

Wednesday, October 28 from 7:30pm - 9pm - Classes #7-10
