Building Friendships: A Gathering for Yale Mothers and Children, Thursday, June 7 from 10-12 at the National Building Museum in Washington
Come join other mothers of young children for a morning of play and socializing! The National Building Museum, across the street from Judiciary Square Metro, has two exhibits designed especially for young children, as well as a Great Hall where groups can spread a blanket and children can run around. Visiting the Great Hall is free, and access to the two exhibits costs $7 per child and $10 per adult. The two exhibits are the Building Zone, a hands-on introduction to the building arts for children ages 2-6, and Play Work Build, for slightly older children who would enjoy using big and small building blocks to create forts or smaller models of buildings. The Yale group will meet in the Great Hall, and those who want to explore the exhibits with their children can go from there. Others can stay in the Great Hall and watch the children play. Please sign up through this link, but feel free to come even if you haven’t signed up.
