Elise is the author of nearly twenty award-winning books for children and teens, including When Dinosaurs Came with Everything, Time Magazine's #1 Children's Book of the Year, Missing on Superstition Mountain, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, and Masterpiece, a New York Times bestseller and winner of the E. Catherine is the author of the memoir Nigeria Revisited, My Life and Loves Abroad, the story of her experiences during her twenty-four years in Nigeria, beginning in 1962, and how she changed from an idealistic though naïve Peace Corps volunteer to an experienced educator, parent, and entrepreneur.
