The Women's Campaign School at Yale University is a non-partisan, issue-neutral leadership program, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe. This year the Women's Campaign School at Yale University celebrates over twenty years of inspiring and training women to lead.
The number of women in Congress and the House of Representatives has dramatically increased over the last 20 years, yet the United States still ranks 82nd worldwide in the percentage of women in our national legislature.
“Let’s take our Congress, for example. Presently, of the 100 seats which comprise the US Senate, only 17 women serve. In the House of Representatives, of the 435 seats there, only 71 women serve. We can do better. We owe it to our society to do better. It is our clarion call at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale.” Patti Russo Interview Forbes, April 2011
