Stepping off of our of our July conversation with Patti Russo, director of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale, and on the heels of the election, please join us as we gather to discuss how we can support women's voices and perspectives in politics from a local to a national level.
You will remember that the Women's Campaign School at Yale University is a non-partisan, issue-neutral leadership program, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe. While the number of women in Congress and the House of Representatives has dramatically increased over the last 20 years, the United States still ranks 82nd worldwide in the percentage of women in our national legislature. The recent election has not improved that statistic!
There is plenty that can be done in addition to running for office, and we hope this conversation will help develop some ideas we can move forward with.
