Q&A and Discussion with WISAY members – 2:30-3:30 pm EDT

WISAY's annual Distinguished Woman in Science (DWIS) Award seminar brings amazing women and gender minority scientists to Yale to give a talk about their career, research, and advocacy, and meet with students and postdocs. The WISAY Board is pleased to announce Dr. Diane Lipscombe as this year's recipient!

Dr. Lipscombe is a professor of neuroscience and the Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Director at the Robert J. and Nancy D. Carney Institute for Brain Science at Brown University. Her lab studies the expression, regulation, and function of voltage-gated calcium channels in different regions of the nervous system. Beyond her science, Dr. Lipscombe was elected to the American Association for the Advancement of Science for her significant contributions in mentorship. Dr. Lipscombe will speak about the work of her laboratory. Following her hour-long talk, we will have a mixed moderated question and answer session for one hour. Register here for the Zoom link: https://forms.gle/7UK2GsmdfxaKBVas6
