YaleWomen Presents...Who, When, and Where: The Essentials of Networking

In today's hybrid work environment, making connections is more important than ever. Whether you're a new graduate looking for your first job or a seasoned professional taking her career to the next level, YaleWomen invites you to this hands-on workshop. Laura Brennan (YC '88) will offer practical advice and strategic tips on when, how, and why to network, and of course with whom. The discussion will include time for audience Q&A. Afterwards, there will be an optional half hour networking session for those who want to meet fellow Yalies and apply what they've learned in real time!

Laura’s eclectic career includes almost every storytelling medium, from theater, television, and film to web series, short stories, and video games. Her children’s picture book, Nana Speaks Nanese, tackles the confusing changes brought on by memory loss in a reassuring and straightforward way. It’s the book she wishes she’d had when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and she hopes it will help other families with young children. As a pitch consultant, Laura has helped everyone from film producers and TV executives to entrepreneurs, non-profits, and job-seekers talk about themselves and their projects.
