YaleWomen DC Tour of Glenstone Museum

Sunday, June 9th, 10 am - 1 pm

Join us for a morning immersed in art and nature at Glenstone, one of the largest private art museums in the country, located just north of DC in Potomac, Maryland. Situated on 300 acres, this collection focuses on post-World War II art, and was assembled by collectors Emily and Mitch Rales. We plan to spend about two hours touring the grounds and museum, and then those who are interested can gather for a casual lunch at the cafe. Our 40 free tickets went quickly after the publication of our March newsletter, but you can use this Eventbrite link to join the wait-list. If you have already ordered tickets but your plans have changed, kindly let us know so that others can join.

YaleWomen DC Financial Literacy Workshop

Saturday, June 15th, 1 pm - 3 pm

Our January workshop on financial management and literacy for women was well-attended, and participants asked for a follow-up event. Our speaker will be Gerri Walsh, Senior Vice President of Investor Education at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and President of the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. Last time we covered important topics such as selecting a financial professional (including biases to avoid) and an investment approach that works for you.  This time we will talk about the pros and cons of different investment strategies and products and more. The $15 ticket price includes the cost of the workshop, the fee to rent the space, and refreshments. Please use this link to register.
