YaleWomen Utah is once again thrilled to have Patti Russo, of the Women's Campaign School at Yale (WCSYale), come visit us here in SLC on Sunday, January 15th! We will be hosting an informal potluck brunch with Patti beginning at 11:30am at the YWCA of Utah, and would ask those in attendance to bring a dish and/or beverage.
The free event is not only for those women who might currently be interested in running for political office, but is also for those who support greater participation by women in elected office. Patti would like to cast her net wide while sharing WCSYale's message: Get Inspired! Get Trained! Get Elected!
Patti's visit, just days before Inauguration Day, will surely be every bit as engaging and uplifting as Patti's last stop in Utah. However, as the United States now ranks 99th on the list of countries with the most women in elected office, the issue of women in politics is an urgent one, and Patti's visit takes on a more serious tone following the November elections. We are excited about all that Patti will share with us about this critical time for women in the political arena!
